Lauren Brothen
1. I earned my undergraduate degree in Business Management with concentrations in Accounting, Human Resources, and General Business in 35 years. I love numbers and I love people. I have been able to utilize all of my degrees both on and off the job.
2. Each month my husband and I buy our son, Jackson, a $100.00 savings bond for his future. By the time he is 18 years old he will have $21,600.00 in savings bonds to use for college, a down payment on a house, etc. Any money he receives from family as a gift also go towards buying a savings bond. We will do the same for our next child as well.
3. I ride a motorcycle. I grew up around motorcycles, so they sparked my interest at a young age. My dad helped me open up a separate savings account where I saved up enough of my own money to buy a motorcycle. I would enjoy teaching people how to ride a motorcycle or dirt bike; I always wanted to learn, but waited until I was 20 to fulfill my dream.
4. I volunteer my time as a Job Leads Coordinator at Resource, a non-profit organization in Minnesota that helps unemployed people, underemployed people, people overcoming substance abuse, single mothers, and disabled people find jobs in the Minnesota area. Even though I live in Wisconsin I am able to help the lives of those miles away though the help of technology.
