Elizabeth Peace - Top Ten
1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
I am grateful for my husband for being the dad he did not have to be. He entered our lives during a difficult time and he never shied away from the fact that it would be hard. I am proud that my children have a dad who is a role model and taught them what being a father is really about. He gave our boys the greatest gift of all: he believes in them.
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
I want to be intentional with each day and ensure my decisions are serving a long term goal, not just serving me right now. While I loved being a news anchor, working in evening news and missing that time with my family was not the life I wanted for them. I had to make choices to be intentional with my time while my children were young and it blessed us more in the long run.
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
I was speaking at a girls' camp a few years ago on the ways we can find our self-worth. Afterward, one of the young girls approached me to say "thank you" for reminding her how valuable she is as the person she is right now. Knowing that speaking openly about my struggles, and the lessons I have learned from them, can inspire today's youth to love themselves has been the best feeling of all.
4.What is the most random fact you know?
Thomas S. Monson once said, "God’s love is there for you whether or not you feel you deserve love." Accepting that realization that we never walk alone and that Heavenly Father's love is eternal has allowed me to move forward in the darkest of times. It has given me hope when things were hard and has been a guiding light in my life. "Heavenly Father hears your prayers, loves you and He knows your name."
5.What is the one thing you’ll never do again?
I love the sound of a newborn crying, which I know sounds very odd! As the mom of an angel baby, I am grateful every day that Heavenly Father blessed us with our two boys and I know someday I will have the opportunity to raise my heavenly children that I lost through miscarriage several years ago.
