1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
I am most grateful for the restoration of my family and marriage. In 2013, I lost hope and didn’t believe I was worthy of love or valuable. The following years were full of anxiety, depression and moral failures. I’ve been redeemed in PTSD therapy, worship and in community with people who encouraged me, prayed for me and loved me. My life and family are restored because of those challenges failing forward.
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
The biggest change I want to make is to always love others unconditionally without self-protection. I want my life to resemble the agape love I’ve been shown without expectations or fear of what others think. Love is a choice and it takes daily practice to offer it to others without the desire of being seen or known. I want to consistently chose love, no matter the sacrifice it requires.
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
The best feeling in the world is knowing that I made a difference in someone else’s life. If my experiences overcoming trauma, rejection and failure can ignite hope in just one person, it was worth it. When we choose to live with authentic vulnerability, we light the way for the next person to overcome the obstacles before them. There is no greater impact than to ignite hope for those still in their darkness.
4.What is the most random fact you know?
The best realization is when I discovered the power of my voice. Speaking up and telling my story of overcoming personal, relational and professional struggles allows me to spread hope like wildfire to women like myself, internationally. Because of that discovery, my ceiling will be my children’s foundation for restoration, reconciliation and reformation. My voice will be the legacy I leave for the generations to come.
5.What is the one thing you’ll never do again?
I love the sounds of solitude. In these quiet moments, I notice the wind through the leaves of a strong oak tree on a summer day. I hear waves crashing against rocks, steady like the sun rising and setting day after day. It’s in the sounds of silence, where I remember to take heart because my Creator is the first one who overcame the troubles of this world. (John 16:33)
